ABOUT ME
Clara Adkins, PhD, LCPC, Approved Supervisor
I hold a PhD in Counselor Education from Old Dominion University. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and approved supervisor, and I provide mental health services in Baltimore, Maryland. I integrate positive psychology and person-centered approaches in therapy. I aim to help clients develop authenticity and self-awareness to work on clinical issues and achieve personal goals. I hope to help clients identify meaning and purpose in their lives, and ultimately achieve self-actualization.
I have clinical and research experience in women's issues, self-care, positive psychology, well-being, life transitions, communication problems, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship issues, adoption, self-esteem, and grief. Let me work with you to solve problems with positivity and compassion.
Who I work with: Adults (18 years of age and older) and undergraduate and graduate students.
Fun facts: I am adopted and had the honor of traveling to South Korea to visit my birthmother and half-sister for the first time in the summer of 2023. I encourage others to get in touch with their cultural background as well as challenge themselves to go outside of their comfort zone to self-actualize.
Pets: I have a cat named Kiwi and she is a forever kitten. She can do tricks, high five and double high five.
